I thought I’d do something special for my wife for Valentine’s Day 2015. I’ve never created an art piece for her and decided on doing a family portrait. I’ve always loved the Ukiyo-e style so created a portrait of us in that style.

I sketched out the piece then scanned it in to “ink” and color it in Illustrator. It took a couple weeks because it all had to be done in secret after everyone went to bed. I had Picture Salon print it for me at 16×20 with museum quality inks and paper
